"Scavengers" Button
This painting is a little different for me – a very limited palette with only hints of colour – a post-apocalyptic scene with a cyberpunk / steampunk sorta feel to it – featuring some beautiful vultures! The term scavengers in this case refers to the girl (an urban fairy with vulture wings) and her vulture friends – all digging through the remnants of a doomed civilization. I got the idea for this one simply by stumbling across two sweet vultures by my house – they were being very sweet, nuzzling each other like lovebirds – it struck me that they might make for good friends in the right situation. This is my own original acrylic painting.
