When you visit the Greek islands, bring your camera and walk around in the early evening when the light casts some shadows & the colors are more vibrant. I personally have an aversion to people in my photographs, unless they are friends & family….. or bring scale to the photo somehow. Remember… it is always possible to get a photograph of a famous landmark without any people in it… you just have to visit off peak & be patient. I have a picture of myself at the Parthenon, where I am the only person in the shot with my arms raised in glorious triumph of my discovery. Visit state parks or tourist spots an hour or two before they close… just enough time to explore…. you want to be there when they lock up to get the best shots.
