Vincent Van Gogh’s impressionist masterpiece “Irises”. Vincent Van Gogh was a Dutch Post-Impressionist artist. He did not embark upon a career as an artist until 1880 and his distinctive style was not appreciated in his life time. Van Gogh suffered from depression and committed suicide at the age of 37. He did not become famous till after his death. He produced more than 2,000 works, including around 900 paintings and 1,100 drawings and sketches.
