NASAs Pleiades Pinback Buttons
In astronomy, the Pleiades, or Seven Sisters (Messier object 45), is an open star cluster containing middle-aged hot B-type stars located in the constellation of Taurus. It is among the nearest star clusters to Earth and is the cluster most obvious to the naked eye in the night sky. Pleiades has several meanings in different cultures and traditions. The cluster is dominated by hot blue and extremely luminous stars that have formed within the last 100 million years. Dust that forms a faint reflection nebulosity around the brightest stars was thought at first to be left over from the formation of the cluster (hence the alternate name Maia Nebula after the star Maia), but is now known to be an unrelated dust cloud in the interstellar medium that the stars are currently passing through. Astronomers estimate that the cluster will survive for about another 250 million years, after which it will disperse due to gravitational interactions with its galactic neighborhood.

Dasht-e Kevir Great Salt Desert Iran Poster
Dasht-e KevirThe US Geological Survey and NASA have created a series of fabulous images showing views of “Earth as Art.” Sadly, mere images on your screen fail to capture the stunning beauty of these high resolution pictures and the photo quality posters they produce. We at Meralee Fine Poster Art offer two versions for your consideration, posters and art prints. For display in a public place and/or for educational purposes, we recommend the poster version. Eighty-six images can be found under our store category of “Earth Posters as Art.” For display as works of art, we have removed the black border to create print versions of the image only. Eighty-six images can be found under our store category of “Earth Prints as Art.” The image itself is 24×24 inches at 300 PPI. A quarter inch white border surrounds the image and would be covered by a frame, so the prints are 24.5×24.5 inches square at 300 PPI. Since the original images are high resolution, these can be printed at up to 52×52 inch size and still retain a good quality image. A small, color coordinated credit line, which includes the title, is placed discretely in the lower right corner when north is towards the top of the print. As a work of art, it may be displayed in any orientation. Does anyone really know which way is up? Before buying, look for the “Customize it!” button on the lower right below “Add to cart,” then “Print Options” mid-upper left. Enter one of the dimensions for the desired frame size. You are currently viewing the Earth Print as Art version. The Dasht-e Kevir, or Great Salt Desert, is the largest desert in Iran. It is a primarily uninhabited wasteland, composed of mud and salt marshes covered with crusts of salt that protect the meager moisture from completely evaporating. Ring Nebula (Hubble Telescope) Post Cards
Hubble photograph of the Ring Nebula This is an image of the oval-shaped Ring Nebula, situated around 2000 light years from Earth. It was taken by the Hubble Space Telescope in 1998, and shows orange and yellow outer areas around a blue-green centre. Credit: Hubble Heritage Team (AURA/STScI/NASA/ESA) Note that any distortion in the preview image is caused by compression artefacts, and won't be printed. You can personalise the design further if you'd prefer, such as by adding your name or other text, or adjusting the image – just click 'Customize' to see all the options. Eagle Nebula Print
This eerie, dark structure in IC 4703 (the Eagle nebula) is a column of cool molecular hydrogen gas and dust that is an incubator for new stars. The stars are embedded inside finger-like protrusions clearly seen extending from the top of the column. Each “fingertip” is somewhat larger than our own solar system. The pillar is slowly eroding away by the ultraviolet light from nearby hot stars, a process called “photoevaporation”. As it does, small globules of especially dense gas buried within the cloud are uncovered. These globules have been dubbed “EGGs” ; an acronym for “Evaporating Gaseous Globules”. The shadows of the EGGs protect gas behind them, resulting in the finger-like structures at the top of the cloud.
Space Command 2.0 Sticker
The next generation in our space command series. This is because every kid wants to be in “Space Command”! Great gag gift for any adult involved in the aerospace industry as well! Does your company subcontract for NASA, etc? Cards make great theme invitations to parties, etc.
