This design is taken from my original painting of an Eastern Indigo Snake. I find snakes fascinating, and this species is impressive both for its large size (sometimes reaching eight feet in length), and its iridescent blue-black color. Snakes may not be everyone's cup of tea, but I love them and I find this one especially beautiful!
