"Queen of Bees" Greeting Card
“Queen of Bees” – one of my special debut paintings for FaerieCon 2012. The original itself sold at the show but I have prints & posters available! There is a slightly sinister feel to this Rococo style portrait of a beautiful queen and her bees. There are a lot of little bee details in here as well as historical portraiture references – she is wearing a replica of a Minoan bee pendant from ancient Crete, Napoleon's “Bee with Laurels” imagery, a lot of fun stuff packed in here. I also love the bees themselves – you can even see some honeycombs peeking out from underneath her skirts! This is my own original acrylic painting.

"Les Vampires: Lanterne-Citrouille" Postcard
The first in my new series of paintings called “Les Vampires” (which is French for The Vampires) – a new line of paintings that feature vampire beauties inspired by French rococo and baroque themes and aesthetics. These will also be part of my upcoming Vampire tarot/oracle deck I've been commissioned to work on, being published next year. This first painting is called “Les Vampires: Lanterne-Citrouille” (which means “pumpkin lantern”) she is simply lovely! And with the pumpkin of course there are subtle Halloween-ish overtones (added to with the inclusion of my black cat Azrael!). There are also some creepy details in the rococo sofa the two sit upon. I went with a lighter more rococo palette on this piece rather than the bold/jewel tones I normally would put on a vampire/halloween painting, and I think I rather like how it turned out. My own original acrylic painting.

"Poppy Fairy" Sticker
Poppy Fairy – part of my "Flowers" series, this lovely big eyed fairy portrait is accented with one of my favourites – the vibrant red poppy! I love the bright red of the poppy – I was in France for an art thing this summer and they had whole FIELDS of poppies! Actually the whole France thing probably inspired this piece specifically – I gave her the same sort of Rococo feel that a lot of the old French portraits had. My own original acrylic painting.
