What a sweet seat! Not much has changed with these chairs actually, I would imagine though that this chair would be unbelievably heavy, but I never weighed a barber chair of today.

Machinist – A room full of memories Candy Dish
I wonder what it was like back then. Belts flapping around, squeaking wheels, people being dragged into machines, all the screaming. It must have been wonderful. Dark rooms, no safety inspector, no guards on machines, the word safe didn't exist back then, well actually it did, it was a large metal box with money in it. But it's a memory none the less.
