Utagawa Kuniyoshi (Japanese: 歌川国芳) (ca. 1797 – April 14, 1861) was one of the last great masters of the Japanese ukiyo-e style of woodblock prints and painting and belonged to the Utagawa school.
The Maple Trees – Maple trees at Mama, Tekona Shrine and Linked Bridge. Print shows a bird's-eye view through maple trees of the Tekona Shrine with thatch-roofed buildings a grove of trees, with mountains in the distance. Ando Hiroshige (1797-1858), Japanese painter and printmaker, known especially for his landscape prints. The last great figure of the Ukiyo-e, or popular, school of printmaking, he transmuted everyday landscapes into intimate, lyrical scenes that made him even more successful than his contemporary, Hokusai.
Torii Kiyonaga (1752 – June 28, 1815) was a Japanese ukiyo-e printmaker and painter of the Torii school. Originally Sekiguchi Shinsuke, the son of an Edo bookseller, he took on Torii Kiyonaga as an art-name. Although not biologically related to the Torii family, he became head of the group after the death of his adoptive father and teacher Torii Kiyomitsu.
