The Andean Bear Foundation is proud to present the ABF 2013 Calendar! We are celebrating the release of Bubu, the Andean bear, into the wild on July 20, 2012. It has been an event-filled journey for this bear who won the hearts of people all over the world, but he is now free! This keep-sake calendar features all new images of Bubu by the talented young Ecuadorian photographer Max Araujo. These stunning photos were taken a few days before his release and we treasure them as the last portraits of Bubu we will have. The beautiful country of Ecuador is featured as a background to each month. Landscapes of typical bear habitat were captured by Alandy Torres, Patricio & Mario Pillajo, Rebecca Hamilton and Sarah Clifford. Information about our cubs Suyana and Mazharito currently in rehabilitation at the Iznachi Sanctuary is also included. Alandy Torres also provided the photos of Suyana and Mazharito.
