Souvenirs de Versailles, which translated simply means Memories of Versailles is a shabby chic collage of many wonderful vintage images that evoke the essence of everything that was Versailles when the dethroned French Queen Marie Antoinette, who never once ordered the words ‘let them eat cake’, was its beloved Mistress. There is an exquisite fashion plate from the 18th Century depicted clearly the court fashions worn by Marie Antoinette, a long with a painting of Versailles from the same time period, along with a chandelier, roses, birds and butterflies.
